Camping Primer
The date is set, the campsite is reserved, the menu planned…..but what will you do during the "free time". Kids can learn the basics of knife safety, building a fire, go on a nature hike, pitch a tent, and more. Tell me what your group already knows, and I'll take them to the next step in their camping knowledge.

Creative Solutions

Problems need solutions that are creative and innovative. Put together a tangram puzzle, brainstorm solutions for problems, imagine your group stranded in the desert and determine which items you should keep with the group. This program will complete all or most of the requirements for the Junior Girl Scout Creative Solutions badge.

Crime Scene Indy
This program has been discontinued for facilitated programs.  Contact us about our Crime Scene Kids: Anatomy of a Death.  It is sold in a convenient kit and can be refilled, so you can share the kit with other groups and increase your savings even more!

Finding Your Way

This will give kids the basics of reading a map, understanding a topographical map, cardinal points, taking a bearing, and finding a heading. They will complete a "Treasure Hunt" map and a short compass course, either indoors or out. Several requirements for the Junior Girl Scout Finding Your Way badge will be completed.

Flying High

Learn all about flying during this fun and interactive program! Kids will make different paper airplanes, build, decorate and fly balsa wood gliders, play "The Right Stuff" , try food that astronauts eat, and if weather permits, even have their own air show. Junior Girl Scouts will complete all or most of the requirements for the Aerospace badge.

Girls In The Lead 

Give girls an opportunity to practice leadership styles and techniques by solving initiative problems, working together as a team, and communicating with each other. Girls will be presented with a challenge or problem, given unusual props and asked to work together to solve the problem. Cross the "poison peanut butter pit", build a tower of balloons; and play "moonball". This is a fun and rewarding way to really get girls to “take the lead”

Making It Matter

Become a scientist for a day! Make polymers, determine if something is an acid or a base, and build a buzzer to learn about electricity during this fun and interactive program. All or most of the requirements for the Junior Girl Scout Making It Matter badge will be completed.

Math Whiz

Math is used everywhere, everyday. Through a series of games and activities, kids will put their math skills to use by making predictions, measuring, estimating and averaging. This program will meet all or most of the requirements for the Junior Girl Scout Math Whiz badge.

Ms. Fix-It

Became the handy-woman around your house! Rewire a lamp, fix a flashlight, even use a power drill in this hands-on program. Girls will play "Name That Tool", find out if they're "On The Level" and more. Completes all or most of the requirements for the Junior Girl Scout Ms. Fix-It badge.

Murder Mystery

The group will solve a Murder Mystery and learn the ways they work together and how their role within the group is important. Determine the victim, the culprit, the time, the place, the weapon and the motive and have fun while doing it.

Outdoor Cook

Become a chef in the outdoors! Use different recipes, different stoves and different ways to cook in this hands-on program. Everyone cooks their own meal during this fun program. Junior Girl Scouts will complete all or most of the requirements for the Outdoor Cook badge. (This program must be conducted outdoors.)

Outdoor Fun

Groups will practice all the fun things of being in the outdoors; making a fire, cooking and eating a new snack, going on a hike, and playing "bowline for dollars". Girl Scout Troops should complete requirement #1 of the Outdoor Fun badge on their own before the program, all or most of the other requirements will be completed during the program. (This program must be conducted outdoors and requires a campfire.)

Science Sleuth

Conduct simple experiments just like a real scientist. Make a musical instrument, study your own fingerprints, create a siphon and build a miniature boat during this fun and interactive program. Junior Girl Scouts will complete all or most of the requirements for the Science Sleuth badge.

Survival

Try our version of "Survivor". Kids will learn to tackle a variety of challenges and learn an assortment of skills as they have fun in the outdoors. Carve their own spoon to eat their lunch, make a pair of tongs, start a fire without a match, and cook and eat "ash cakes". This can be a one day program or part of a group camping trip. This program must be conducted outdoors and requires building a campfire.

Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star
Create and decorate your own Sundial. Examine star maps and identify major constellations. Learn different stories from different cultures about constellations. If weather permits, go outside for some real star gazing!
